Post Edit: R.I.P Chemistry

Last year I embarked on what was possibly the craziest thing I have ever done.

Chemistry 1000 (equivalent) through distance learning.

Yep, I'm nuts. Experiments with hydrochloric acid and two very curious boys can be impossible. People would ask me why I decided to take the class, to which I would reply, "It's my Moby Dick". It was the one class in high school that I wouldn't even attempt, because I was sure I would fail. Does that sound like me, or what? (I think not, but that is the effect that Chemistry has on my psyche.)

A-

Take that, stupid chemistry and stupid psyche for telling me I couldn't do it. More importantly, a HUGE thank you to Dustin. He was seriously my molarity, titration, dilution, molality- anything chem you could imagine- intravenous. I am seriously so lucky to know such a smartie pants.

Now that I'm an accomplished scholar (:S), what do I plan on doing, you ask?

Taking a break.

Maybe, when the boys are in school, I will go back with the stellar GPA that I have and get my Ph D in like Cancer research, because I can titrate like nobody's business.

I have been waiting for this grade for almost a month. I have been trying to be productive while cursing the lamest school on the planet. DO NOT TAKE A SCIENCE CLASS THROUGH ATHABASCA. I digress. Here are some of the projects I have completed while waiting.

Roman blinds. Harder than they look, especially for a less experienced seamstress, such as myself. My cousin Natalie would have done a much better job, if only she didn't live in Calgary.

The wall! The mirror- bargain basement finds make a very happy me. Thanks Lauren for all your input, you're awesome!

Uhhh- This new mac is stelar, but I can't find where to put my SD card in with the pictures. Soon!

Confessions

Dustin never reads "our" blog.
Me: Dust, have you read the new blog post?
Dustin: I don't think I've read any of the posts.
Me: {frownsmile}

Because of said confession, I can openly admit to all- probably only my sister, because she is the only one who reads this- I ate a whole bag of mini eggs. In 2 days. Without sharing. Max asked what I was eating, I replied, with chocolate running out of my mouth: "Nothing." That is NOT how my stomach feels.

I feel lazy today. Sadly, that is how it has been for the last couple of weeks. The fresh snow on the ground that isn't melting DOES NOT help my get-out-and-get-to-it-motivation.

I am waiting for my Chem grade STILL!!! I'm tempted to drive all the way up to Athabasca- I'd google it first, because who the heck really knows where that even is?- and egg the campus, or start a small fire with my text books. Or both. Is it so wrong to be angry after three weeks of waiting? Seriously, who needs that long to correct a 40 question exam?

The primary 2010 songs for the primary presentation is my most recently played on my playlist.

I will stop there. I'll lose all my readers, even my sister.

Max the Scriptorian

In family scripture study last week we talked about the Zoramites and the Rameumptom. I told Max that is one of "Mommy's favorite stories from the Book of Mormon"- hoping of course, that he would remember the story.

We reviewed the story before we started the new one. This is what happened:

Me (pointing to the picture above): Who are those people, Max?
Max: The Zornans
Me: Close enough- what is that they are looking at?
Max: The Olympics.
